This was a 7 week long intensive design project. After picking out an animal from the RISD nature lab, we were to study the animal and then create a repeating circular pattern based off of the colors, textures, and special traits of our chosen critter. The final gouache painting is 18 x 24 inches large and slightly alternates shades six times, going from warmer to cooler tones of color.
